A data analyst must have the following key skills:

• Ability to accurately and efficiently analyse, organise, collect, and disseminate large amounts of data.

Upskilling and current in the workplace require a Data Analytics Course.

• The ability to design databases, build data models, mine data, and segment data.
• Excellent knowledge of statistical packages for analysing large datasets (SAS, SPSS, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
• Problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Excellent query, report, and presentation writing skills.
• Knowledge of data visualisation software such as Tableau and Qlik.
• The ability to develop and apply the most precise algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions.
