As we walked along the gushing waters of the river, the distant snow-capped mountains came into view. The trail gradually ascended into a dense pine and cedar forest replete with tall Deodar trees. We were enveloped by verdant forests as far as the eye could see. Birds chirped merrily breaking the silence of the woods.

As we gained altitude, the vegetation changed to green alpine meadows carpeted with wildflowers. The pastures were surrounded by snow-clad peaks on all sides. The abundance of vibrant flowers like blue poppies, iris and buttercups added a dash of color to the landscape.

Crossing through a small settlement, we arrived at the campsite of Nagaru nestled amidst blooming rhododendron bushes. We spent some time at the quaint village before continuing to our next camp at Kheerganga.

The trail from Nagaru ascended steadily through dense forests. We caught glimpses of the valley down below whenever there was a break in the trees. The chirping of birds and gushing waters of the stream were our constant companions. As we hiked up switchbacks, we entered the realm of Pin Parvati Pass. Finally, we arrived at the wide open meadow of Kheerganga lying at an altitude of 3050 m. The hot water spring with its panoramic views rejuvenated our tired limbs.

We relished hot maggi as we soaked in the magnificent vistas. Glittering white peaks stretched out before us as far as the eyes could see.

From Sar Pass, we descended along rock strewn slopes towards the Biskeri Thach campsite. The landscape was barren with mountains looming large all around us. The cold winds at such high altitudes forced us to add extra layers. As we lost altitude, green meadows welcomed us again. We spent the night at Biskeri Thach gazing at the clear night sky lit up by countless stars.
